For over a decade I have been supporting children and young people with their writing skills. I really enjoying helping young people to challenge themselves and produce writing they can be really proud of, no matter their level or abilities. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to write well and it is the teacher’s job to help draw out each individual’s creativity. I have also worked with young people with additional needs, such as dyslexia or ADHD.
Some of the students I have worked with have really struggled with writing at school or may have a block of some kind; others are enthusiastic writers wanting to take their skills to the next level, as well of course as anything in between. We can work on fiction, poetry, non-fiction, essay or report writing, reading together and discussing themes and context – the possibilities are endless! I have also helped some young people to complete an entire (short) novel over a number of weeks.
I have spaces for new students, so do please get in touch via the contact form if this is something you would like to discuss further.
‘We couldn’t recommend Rebecca highly enough. She completely transformed my daughter’s writing and gave her a real excitement for every topic she worked on. Rebecca not only helped her with exam practice, but also taught her the foundation of good writing – from crafting clear sentences and structured paragraphs to building engaging short stories. She showed her how to bring writing to life with figurative language, and now my daughter no longer dread English lessons. Instead, she absolutely adores creative writing. Thank you so much, Rebecca!’

‘Our son needed tutoring help when transitioning to a US high school after middle years abroad. Rebecca gave him the skills to organize his creative thoughts and build his case for research topics. Most importantly, in a very short time she gave him confidence in his writing abilities. I appreciated her willingness to adapt to our schedule and keep us well-informed of his progress.’
Kelly, Mother of Isaac
I have also been mentoring young people to help boost their confidence. If you feel like your child’s lack of self-esteem is holding them back, do please get in touch.
‘Elle has really valued her sessions with Rebecca, and we’ve seen a meaningful impact not just in her academic progress, but also in her confidence, independence, and overall mindset. Rebecca has played an important role in helping her navigate this stage, and we’re very grateful for her support.’
